Koro Woodbury, Director of IFI Services and certified CPI trainer, hosted a Crisis Prevention training for all of the staff on August 30th and September 6th. This training increased the staff’s knowledge of ways to keep themselves and our client’s safe in moments of a potential crisis.
Paraverbal communication involves three components: the tone, volume, and cadence of our voice. These three components make up most of the context of any message we deliver; like that old saying “it’s not what you say, but how you say it”. The staff was taught a gamut of other skills like how to initiate tension reduction and ways to respond to risky behavior.
